Biznik welcomes Internet broadcasting pioneer Scott Bourne as a contributing blogger
We’re thrilled to announce this morning that Scott Bourne will be joining us an occasional contributor to the Biznik Blog. That’s great news, because in addition to being a fabulous guy who help Chris Haddad and I get the first Biznik podcast off the ground, Scott is an internationally-recognized digital media leader, a guy who pioneered the use of streaming media on the Internet as the founder of Netradio, the world’s first Internet radio network.
Scott’s also owned and operated several photography-related businesses and had his photographs published in a variety of books, magazines and newspapers.
Scott presently oversees the Bourne Media Group, a social and new media consulting firm. With the advent of the Web, RSS and podcasting, Scott combined his background in radio and his interests in photography and Mac computers to develop the popular podcast the iLifeZone. He is also a contributer to MacDevCenter and the O’Reilly Network Digital Media Blog as well as his own blogs, podcastingtricks.com, bloggingtricks.com and aperturetricks.com.
In 1995 and 1996, Websight Magazine named Scott one of the 100 most influential people on the World Wide Web. He’s won numerous awards for his photography and his contribution to digital media and has appeared in more than 100 national magazines and newspapers and been featured on several national radio and television networks including CNBC and PBS.
Scott will be hosting a Biznik event in Seattle some time in October about how to create a podcast. Welcome, Scott!
