Steve Irwin, The Crocodile Hunter (who, ironically, was against the actual hunting crocodiles) died last night, stabbed through the heart by a stingray barb while filming an underwater documentary. He was 44, fit as a fiddle and probably a little bit nuts. He leaves behind 2 young kids, an entire zoo full of strange, wonderful and dangerous creatures and a wife that the press insists on telling us over and over is American and from Eugene, Oregon.

So, what the heck does this have to do with Biznik?

Just this: Steve was a bold guy. A guy who figured out what he was passionate about and poured all his manic energy into making it into something he’d get paid big gobs of money to do.

In other words, the guy was a freaking Biznik.

Ta Ta Steve. You’ll be missed.

I don’t care what you say about this guy, he started something new and exciting in the animal world. He will be missed by my family and the world!
I grew up watching “Mutual of Omaha Wild Kingdom with Marlin Perkins” the first half of my life and the other half was spent watching Steve chase, hold, swim with, and most of all respect animals in his own way.
