Biznik, Office Nomads and The Village Bellevue share “Best resources for women business owners” award
Biznik, Office Nomads and The Village Bellevue shared a nice honor from The Examiner Seattle today: writer Betsy Talbot listed both of us in her list of Best Resources for Women Business Owners.
I love the fact that Office Nomads and Biznik both ended on up the list - we share a common interest in supporting small business people. In fact, I’m sitting at Office Nomads as I’m typing this today - we rent space from Office Nomads so that our developers and other staff can work together several days a week.
My favorite thing about Office Nomads: The community vibe. It’s easy to feel isolated when you’re an independent worker. I guarantee you won’t have that problem here - there are at least two dogs roaming the space every day, people sleeping on couches, and interesting conversations if you want to join in. Today’s hot topic: the vice presidential debates. I can’t wait for Thursday night… And oh yes, people actually do work here, too. In fact, I have a meeting at 3pm so I’m going to sign off by reposting the Examiner’s nice words about Biznik and Office Nomads:
Best Online Networking Group: Biznik
Dan McComb and Lara Eve Feltin have created an amazing network of online networking, learning, and business promotion and added a unique layer missing from other social networking sites: actual human interaction. Join Biznik and attend dozens of local learning and networking events (most of them free), and follow up with your new contacts online. Go with the paid membership and forgo a few coffees each month - the search engine optimization you get for your business will be worth the price of membership alone.
And here’s what she said about Office Nomads:
Best CoWorking Space: The Village Bellevue and Office Nomads
Meeting clients on the East Side? Check out The Village Bellevue for their convenient location, free parking, and excellent customer service. Another bonus: you never know what kind of interesting people you will meet working there. You can also catch a variety of networking events in their lounge area. Full-time members can even have receptionist and mail delivery services.
Staying in Seattle for business? Indies love working at Office Nomads on Capitol Hill. They even have a great 5-day free trial (read the website for details). Convenient parking in the garage across the street, or take the bus if you are in the city.
And finally, what the Examiner said about The Village Bellevue:

I had a chance to visit Office Nomads for the first time on Wednesday. It’s great: from the hello at the front desk, the attitude to make yourself at home (I was an hour early), the feel of the place - which was equally welcoming and relaxed - even the system for recycling just about anything, it all impressed me very much. I will use it when I can and look forward to my next visit.
And to say that I am happy to see Biznik get additional recognition for their great work would be an understatement. I remember when I first joined Biznik and didn’t know Dan or Lara very well, Chris Haddad would always huge sweeping statements about what Dan could and would do. I thought it was all marketer hype, but it turns out it was right on.
