Nice pictures and videos Dan. Its too dark in the background to tell where you are, but I’m wondering if you were wandering right nearby me and Jacob (and thousands of others) on Broadway.

I live in Vancouver, Canada and I spent Election Night at the bar with an Americans Abroad Group and it was a blast. I felt so emotional and patriotic; it overwhelmed me. You could have heard a pin drop during the speeches. It was a fantastic moment I know I will never forget!

Nice shooting. Nice to get some images from such a joyous celebration. Reminds me of London in ‘92!

  4. Steve Nesich Says:

Probably the most joyous night of my life if you exclude the day I was married and the day my son was born! This scene on the streets of Seattle was pure and unabashed joy. Finally, we all got to exhale! What a time it was.

Since I was a kid, my mom has told me what it was like to be in Times Square on V-J day (she was a teenager at the time). I always felt like I’d never experience anything like that in my lifetime, until, that is, Election Night 2008!

I just feel so lucky to have been a part of it and to be alive at this time in history!
